Networks In Motion Announces AtlasBookTM at CDMA Americas Congress 2003
IRVINE, CA – December 8, 2003
Networks In Motion (NIM), a best-of-breed applications and services provider of Mobile Workforce Management (MWM) and Location Based Services (LBS), announces its first LBS application for cell phones on CDMA networks at the CDMA Americas Congress 2003 in Miami Beach, Florida.
WHAT:
NIM will announce AtlasBookTM (www.AtlasBook.com), its new suite of advanced location-based mobile tools, at the CDMA Americas Congress 2003 in Miami Beach, Florida on December 8, 2003 through December 10, 2003. NIM will demonstrate AtlasBook Places Edition, a complete tool to search for businesses and customized places, contact them quickly, view them on vibrant powerful maps, and get directions between them.
AtlasBook serves as both a powerful personal organizer and a quick and reliable navigator for the mobile cell phone user. By enabling users to create customized places with phone numbers, notes, and even images, AtlasBook Places Edition provides users with personalized mobile access to millions of points of interest and custom places. Navigation options include detailed colorful maps available across the United States, and intelligent trip planning tools to quickly plan trips and easily use turn-by-turn instructions and maps.
Furthermore, AtlasBook boasts a full-featured web backend that provides users with all the same benefits of AtlasBook on the phone and allows users to “Plan on the Web, View on the Phone”. Users can prepare in advance the day’s itinerary by loading places with relevant information and planning trips between those places, all from the comfort of their usual computing environment, such as a desktop or laptop. Users can then access all the information they need for that day’s travel from their phone, without the delay and inconvenience of typing information and doing searches on their phone.
Future editions of AtlasBook will include GPS functionality and team-based enterprise features.
